A few of my favorites…
Just found my new favorite blog. It’s not in English but his/her postings rock my typography world.
I think I just spent an hour looking at this site (currencymuseum.net) so I had to share. It’s a collection of bank notes from all around the world. I know nothing about paper money except that the Chinese were the first to invent it around 900AD because they ran out of copper. So glad they did because pretty much all paper money is amazingly designed. My neighbor just told me that even famous architects were once the face on a bill. Must find out more!
It’s not easy choosing a favorite so I went with my country of birth. Plus, black and pink. How hot is that? These German notes are from the 1948 and 1964.
A little long but me like.

Ok, I’ve never been a “camp” person but I would definitely be up for this. Maybe I’ll make it to next year’s Type Camp Bauhaus although this years India tripsounds amazing too. For you type nuts out there, this is what it’s all about:
Type Camp is for learning, for exploring, and for inspiring. It is also a chance to experience new cultures, new people, and new practices. At Type Camp you will fully and practically understand that typography is a form of thought, of experience and of community. Type Camp is a chance for design students and design professionals, as well as other typographic lovers and practitioners, to find inspiration, to shatter customary habits, and to make new discoveries about visual communication. http://typecamp.org
